David Shields

David’s first career was in medicine, culminating in his appointment as a full-time consultant surgeon. He then decided on a change and read law, being called to the Bar in 2003 and subsequently specialising in medical negligence. He left to study Italian and came to work forADL Solicitors in 2019, but also returned to the NHS during Covid and now works part-time as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and part time with us as a non-practising barrister, specialising in clinical negligence work.
